Beinn Heasgarnich is normally climbed in conjunction with Creag Mhor. They both lie on the north edge of Glen Lochay. The two are connected via a low col that joins them is a SW to NE direction. Beinn Heasgarnich is a wide and exapansive hill with large corries to the west and north which have a tradition of holding snow well into the spring. There are great views north to Loch Lyon. Beinn Heasgarnich’s western corrie is well seen from Creag Mhor.
The hill lacks any distinguishable features which puts many off and attracts only really the baggers, but it for this reason a great sense of solitude can be felt on the hill which is hard to find on the more popular hills in the area.
