Meall Glas is normally climbed in conjunction with Sgiath Chuil to take in a round of two Munros. The two are connected by a low col on a ridge running W to E. Meall Glas sits as a high point between Glen Dochart in the south and Glen Lochay to the north. It lacks any distinguishable features when viewed from the south which is the normal route of ascent due to easy access. From the north Meall Glas looks much more impressive as you get the full view of Coire Cheathaich which the summit sits on the rim of.
As mentioned the normal route of ascent is from the south due to the easy access of the A85. There is parking available at Auchessan. If climbing from the north in Glen Lochay Kenknock is a good place to start but has very limited parking.
From the summit there are fine views of the Crianlarich Hills to the south with Ben More and Stob Binnein looking particularly fine.
