Summary

Patchy rain and extensive low cloud will persist over the mountains in England and Wales, the cloud lowest on the Pennines, where it will also be very blustery. In Scotland, a few snow flurries may affect eastern mountains, but substantially fine with light winds.

Northwest Highlands
Low risk snow flurries east. Sunshine west.

West Highlands
Sunshine, mainly west. The air very clear

Cairngorms National Park, Monadhliath
Risk snow flurries. Patchy sunshine.

Southeastern Highlands
Risk snow flurries. Patchy sunshine.

Southern Uplands
Extensive low cloud east. Light rain clearing.

Planning Outlook

Fine weather over Scotland on Sunday will gradually extend into England and Wales early next week. However, low cloud will often be present over eastern mountains, particularly the Pennines where in the cloud it will will remain cold. Elsewhere, it will be considerably warmer with steady snow-melt commencing (Scottish Highlands).
