Na Gruagaichean is part of the eastern block of Munros within the Mamores. Na Gruagaichean is a double topped summit with its southern peak being the true Munro. The peak is an intersection of 3 ridges. The NW ridge connects via a low col to the Munro Stob Coire a’ Chairn and the Ring of Steall, another superb outing in the area. The NE ridge connects to Binnein Mor to extend your days walking. The final ridge runs south to Kinlochleven Village. There is a well used path on this ridge and can either be used for ascent or descent.
As mentioned above Na Gruagaichean can be climbed from Kinlochleven in the south or it can equally be climbed form Glen Nevis in the north. Coming in from the latter usually involves a much larger day as you will most probably combine Na Gruagaichean with 3 / 4 other Munros to complete the entire Mamores eastern Block in one go. This like most of the region is regarded as one of Scotland’s finest expeditions.
There is lots of parking available in Kinlochleven in the south or if tackling from Glen Nevis there is a car park at the western end of the Glen but it will result in around a 6km walk in / out through Glen Nevis to reach this group of Munros.
