Sgurr Choinnich Mor is the most westerly of a group of Munro known as the grey corries. It’s a fine pointed summit with extremely craggy slopes to the north facing Glen Spean. Its southern slopes lead gently back down to Glen Nevis.
Sgurr Choinnich Mor is normally climbed with the other 3 Munros that make up the long SW - NE ridge making a very long day on the hills. Sgurr Choinnich Mor's NE ridge connects to Stob Coire an Laoigh.
Sgurr Choinnich Mor is usually climbed from Glen Spean from the north if combing with the rest of the Grey Corries or from Glen Nevis in the south if climbing on its own.
From the summit there are superb views of the Aonachs and Ben Nevis tot he Wets and the entire Mamore range to the south. This is a fantastic Munro and will not leave you disappointed no matter what route you take.
