Stob Coire Sgreamhach is usually climbed in conjunction with Bidean nam Bian it is one of Scotland’s best mountaineering expeditions. It may be unfair to say that it is Bidean nam Bian part of the walk that puts it in this position as Stob Coire Sgreamhach is a superb hill in its own right. The summit of Stob Coire Sgreamhach is the intersection of 3 ridges. Its NW ridge connects to Bidean nam Bian. Its SE ridge drops sharply to Dalness in Glen Etive. The NE ridge leads to Beinn Fhada this is part of what is know as the three sisters which hide most the Bidean nam Bian massif.
Parking is available in several lay bys along the A82 but be prepared to fight for a space if you are there late.
Stob Coire Sgreamhach may be outclassed by its father peak Bidean nam Bian but don’t let that put you off, this is still a superb Munro.
